What do I need to prepare as a first-time employer?
Basic requirements include meeting MOM's employer eligibility criteria and being ready to provide safe housing and reasonable working conditions. We'll guide you through the specific requirements when you engage us.
What happens if the placement doesn't work out?
Every placement is covered by our 12-month replacement guarantee. Contact us and we'll help find a better fit without charging the agency fee again.
Where can I find the official rules on hiring a helper?

Do I need to provide a private room?
MOM requires employers to provide suitable accommodation. A private room is strongly preferred and is the standard expectation. If space is limited, speak to us before committing and we can advise on what counts as acceptable.
What is the Settling-In Programme?
The SIP is a mandatory one-day orientation for first-time helpers coming to Singapore. It covers safety, rights, and expectations. AJS arranges this as part of the placement process. The fee is $75, paid by the employer.
Can I interview the helper before deciding?

What happens when the work permit expires?
Work permits are typically valid for 2 years. We'll remind you 3 months before expiry and help manage the renewal or replacement process.
